Through our work with the local community we found that there were a number of mums and women that were not engaging with enterprise support programs not because they didn’t have great ideas, but because they were not confident in how to develop them or how to engage with organisations that could help support them because of language barriers
We set up Women with Wings
to help break down those barriers, to create a network of support and to help mums and women to better understand how they could take their ideas to the next level, as part of our commitment to create opportunities for residents to find pathways into sustainable employment.
We can support you to gain the necessary skills qualifications and confidence. We have a wide range of courses and workshops to help you develop in many ways.
Women With Wings is an organisation primarily aimed at helping people take their first steps towards training employment or self-employment. Our Enterprise Centre provides space where individuals can learn new skills, gain qualifications and start their own business. The centre will help remove barriers to improving lives, increasing confidence and reducing isolation.
Language can be barrier to engaging with local services so we are here to support and signpost where necessary. Childcare can also be a barrier for many limiting their opportunities to what’s available locally and what fits in around the school run.
The Enterprise Centre is based in Little Hulton on a local shopping precinct just off Manchester Road, with a private rooms for rent as office space, meetings or training. The Centre has Wi-Fi access and free refreshments.
